Office Renovations

Field trips and tours
Unfortunately, we are unable to provide organized field trips and guided tours at this time due to limited resources. Teachers and groups are required to make a reservation request for our facilities but will need to provide their own program. We are working to reorganize our program and train volunteers and hope to bring back field trips and tours in the near future.
Yellowhammer Festival April 19
The Yellowhammer Festival is happening at the Arboretum on Sunday, April 19! Please note that visitor parking will be limited to the old golf course lot but there will be a shuttle to the festival area near the children’s garden. Please leash your dog
Per Tuscaloosa city code and UA policy, all dogs must be leashed. Violators will be asked to leave. If you see an unleashed dog or experience an unwelcome encounter please report it to UAPD by calling 205-348-5454.
Attention Photographers
If you would like to schedule a professional portrait session at the Arboretum please use our new reservation process. All events at the UA Arboretum must follow the university grounds use policy and be preapproved by the Arboretum Director.
Old golf course demolition July 7 – 25; please use back gate
Demolition of the old golf course buildings starts Monday, July 7. They are being removed due to asbestos and safety concerns. The back gate on Pelham Heights Road will be open during our regular operating hours (8 am – sunset) during demolition. The anticipated completion date of the project is July 25.
